Top menu bar

Central Editing Area

Contains the blocks that make up a page text can be edited directly here

Floating toolbar

Shows when a block is selected contains

• Block Type (click to change)
• Drag symbol
• Move up / Down
• Alignment
• Formatting options
• Standard menu
• Sometimes a settings icon

List View (left pane when document outline toggled)

Very useful for navigating and editing longer pages, contains a nested list of blocks for the page or post. A good place to insert remove or move blocks around.

Properties pane (right hand pane)

Group – contains information and enables a featured image to be set

Contains settings and styles

Settings – depends on type of block everything except styles!

Styles- lots of option to change the appearance, depends on type of block
