Geology

As a Geology group we have looked at the history of the UK in particular, over 4600 million years ago. The group have looked at many different maps showing how the rock strata and landscapes have developed over time. On a number of occasions practical sessions have been held to examine geological samples.

This active, vibrant and friendly group have had a number of visits to sites of geological interest including successful all day cruises along the coast looking at the Geology of Devon from the sea using Stuart Line. Visits usually take place in the summer and early autumn.
